  Butter me up it's been a long week. I got myself some fresh new threads down at the local Goodwill and some sweet kicks from an older lady in the ward. If there's one thing I've learned recently is if you want something...just ask for it. Using this newfound tactic I am now the owner of 3 frisbees, a steerin wheel cover, one bamboo pole and a collection of books. Another thing I learned this week was that my life before the mission was really a preparatory experience, allow me to explain by talking about the jobs I had prior to the field and their correlation to what I do now. My first job ever was at a country club by the name of Torreon and I worked the family fun center, so I had the opportunity to work directly with the kids and youth. If you know me you know I prefer the company of kids because (adults are boring) so whenever we visit members I can usually be found on the floor playing with toys and what-not.   This week was sooooooooo long that I took a lunch nap every single day. It was also a kinda boring week so I'll break down the important stuff into bullet points.  •On prep day we went to the Buck Knife Store/HQ and bought knifes •Played with the bull whip I bought •Cooked some salmon  •Rainy rainy week, slush everywhere  •Doctrine and Covenants 68:6 goes crazy •Talked to a feller named Rhogen who resembles your typical North Idahon (God Guns and Trump)  •Bye bye Elder Gaertner, we both liked Spider Man  •Food bank twice this week, gave me flashbacks to Safeway  •Had a discussion in some deep deep doctrine with a Russ Lewis •Thurgoods fed us some Papa Murphys pizza •I experienced a two man apartment and it was eerily odd and quiet  •Went and visited Nichole and got in between the Hal and Nichole beef again, it's a shame Hal is senile because he forgets everything including where he put his wife's wedding band  •The Plumb family had some cute kids with a fire Lego collecti

  One of my favorite songs of all time is "Where I Find God" I invite you to listen. This week has been so fulfilling, I have seen the "fruits of my labors" so clearly. I'm gonna be honest, being on a mission is difficult. I miss my boys, I miss the mountains and just being able to take a drive through the woods, I miss my family, I miss the normalcy of life. But I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the whole world. Let us talk about 3 categories of things I experienced this week; spiritual, weird, and some of my random thoughts.  Lets get unto it..... Spiritual: For the New Year I am gonna study the New Testament and so far I have come to grow and develop a relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in a more meaningful way.   Allow me to preface the story of the heading by explaining that when we went to Cabelas 3 weeks ago I purchased a Grow-Your-Own Christmas Tree in a Can. Within 2 years you can have a 3 foot tree on your hands, a mission is 2 years long, I'm not sure what airport regulations are but I'm hoping a live tree can be accounted for as a carry-on. Anyhow part of the directions are to put the seeds once planted in the soil into the fridge for 20 days to mimic nature and help with the germination process. I set a calendar countdown on my phone and was looking forward to taking the tree out of the fridge to start growing honestly more than I was excited for Christmas itself. Well that day was yesterday and when I woke up I immediately went to the fridge where my tree was gone. I recognized that my comp must've tossed it when he cleaned the fridge a few days prior, I tried to reason with him and say I understand if it was accidental but next time check with me before you toss stuff t
