Happy Sunday afternoon 1-15-2023

Hello son, hope you are enjoying your Sabbath day in Idaho! I have been meaning to write for a while but you know life has been crazy busy around here. We are finally starting to feel settled in our house. We still have lots of boxes to unpack but it's my office and craft room stuff mostly and I don't need that all right now, although I have yet to find my can opener and it has been so frustrating! This house isn't big enough for all my things and so they are in a pile in the corner. Oh well. I am sure you saw the pictures I posted on the fam google drive with all the trees being cut down. All day yesterday dad cut up wood and we moved it to the wood pile or the burn pile. We got a ton done but still have a lot of work ahead of us. The wood is still really green and therefore so HEAVY to move. We were really missing you and Justin's help although Branson did awesome. Once we get a wood burning stove in place we will be set for a while. I am sure the neighbors aren'

This week was interesting, but this week was also one of much learning. I learned that every single person I talk to has some sort of theory on the end of the world craziness. Chance Ogden thinks the North and South poles are gonna switch and all our cars are gonna explode. Trian thinks Biden is gonna get impeached and shot. Carol thinks 5G causes cancer. Alvin and Jon argued for half an hour about how North Idahons would either all die or all survive if all 5 dams nearby were to be nuked by Russia. And Justin told me how he's pulling up to Israel if a war breaks out because they're the most safe country. My comp and I bummed on the other elders ward for dinner one night and the family that fed us started rambling about so many deep doctrine theories (where dinosaurs are made mention in the Bible, angels and devils that live among us, heebee jeebie voodoo stuff, how are DNA has a written code that corresponds to scripture, etc) I also learned of a toxic culture in the ward th

This week was a blurrrrrrrrrr, here are the highlights.  Monday: Elder Rees got his teeth cleaned and picked up a 200 dollar bill, we went and shot hoops and I'm back to certified bucket status. And I took a fatty nap. Tuesday: Got a new service gig at an establishment by the name of Newby-ginnings, and I inherited another vest, which puts my grand total of vests to 5. We had a wonderful lesson with a friend Brian who is currently working on developing a zombie video game, afterwards we had dinner with Ute a hugee German lady who made some beef and broccoli (way better than lil bros, learn how to cook bum) we went along with our bishop and visited a few of his youth and hyped them up about missionary work (even the depressing parts) and I got so bored that night I made a Spider-Man pillow. I'm trying to be pick up on some more hobbies, arts and crafts have been calling my name. Wednesday: At the food bank I discovered a little trick to listen to some music I enjoy, I buttered

This week has me slumped, I don't even know what I had for breakfast yesterday (oh yes I do, nothing because I'm broke) I've literally been eating corn flakes and hot dogs for breakfast. I have 1 dollar in my mission funds account. Member meals are saving my rear right now, except we've been getting a lot of lasagna and spaghetti. This week we had a few interesting people we talked to, Scott and Myesha, Waylon (who legit beat his kid in front of me), and George who had the fattest Hungarian accent. We came about a new service opportunity at a veteran owned thrift shop called New Beginnings, I sorted through old people clothes for a few hours and I can confidently say I have sufficient training to work at Goodwill. Miracles. I had everyone rofling on the mission wide zone zoom conference. Baby bottles + juice kinda go crazy. Sunsets have been popping off recently and I sure miss AZ for that reason. Anderson Fam is fun, Dawson plays Minecraft and I gave him a blessing,
