Update for all yall 8-26-2024

I received my brand new missionary on Wednesday, he is from Gilbert Arizona so that's sweet. He is scared of the winter rightfully so. I have 37 days left before I head home, it's crazy. Drop some life advice down below please. There's going to be a lot of change when I get home, not sure how I feel about it yet. My oldest brother and his wife are expecting a kid in a couple weeks so I'll be on uncle status and my brother right below me in age is on a mission as of about a month or so ago and oh yeah my family lives in Arkansas. Right now we are teaching a really neat lady (Nicole) who loves to read and study so after we introduced her to the gospel library app she went wild and read the first 40 sections of the Doctrine and Covenants, most of the Pearl of Great Price, a bunch of conference talks, and of course the Book of Mormon. She has developed a testimony of the restored gospel and desires baptism. There are a few obstacles so extra prayers for her would be incredible! Every Thursday we play basketball with the youth and one of the nonmembers who come might be interested so we'll chat with him in a few days. I love this area a lot and am excited to finish the mission here. It's been a wild ride but one thing has remained constant and that is the reality of Jesus Christ and His church here on the Earth. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is led by Jesus Christ and His authorized priesthood and all the ordinances and covenants are here to bless us. It's a crazy world in which we live but Jesus has not left us comfortless. It's all true!

  It's been a while since I wrote an email. A lot has happened! So our friend Asia did get baptized! It was an incredible service. Her leg was still hurting from the bus accident so she stood for the duration of the entire service and when she walked into the font and I baptized her she said there was no pain in her legs which was a miracle. She has been coming to church to an earlier ward because she had a Sunday work schedule but just this week she was able to shift that around so we're looking forward to having her come to her ward and grow in the gospel.  In other news I have been quite busy with some of the craziest things I've seen in my life. I thought this area couldn't get any sketchier but alas it has .... We are teaching a friend named Clarice and we showed up to her house for a lesson and there were six cop cars in the front yard. This week my emotions were a rollercoaster 2-12-2024

  This week was pretty dang crazy. Last week on our family home evening zoom call we received the news that Elder Andersen from the Quorum of the 12 apostles is coming to our mission on March 23rd for a mission-wide zone conference. We have not had a mission-wide conference in years. It's going to be really sweet, we as a mission are spiritually preparing ourselves for his coming. In other news we spent a lot of time in our favorite trailer park, Shorty McCombs park and unfortunately someone got shot and murdered in that park a few days ago. On that very street we have four progressing friends eek. Those friends are really cool and we have been working with them for a little over two weeks. We have our friend Lotus who is 10 years old and it seems like every time we go to teach her she has a different friend hanging out at her house. What do you know about the North Side? 10-23-2023

  We were in the north side of our area, and we were looking for a friend named Korey who missionaries have not contacted in a long time. There was this random guy leaf blowing the parking lot and it turned out he was Korey and he invited us inside his home because he said they were evil spirits inside of his bedroom and inside of his wife. We went inside and offered a prayer to bless the home and then I offered a blessing upon his wife and that was a really cool experience because right before she was super irritable and mad at her husband but afterwards she was crying and laughing and super happy so that was a testimony to me of priesthood power. This week I also went on an exchange with my zone leader Elder Keller who I served around in Moscow. This was his first time in his mission on a bike and he had the time of his life.
