 Elder Williams Update!

It has been a while.

Last week was General Conference and that was a revelatory experience with a lot of wonderful talks given on the power of temples and Covenants made therein. One of my favorite talks was called "Pillars and Rays" and it reminded me of a BYU devotional I enjoy called "Flashes of Light." We had our friend Nathan watch with us and a member and he usually gets distracted easily but he was attentive the whole time which was a miracle. We watched another session with our friend Amasone with a senior missionary couple who lives in the complex near him and that was a miracle in of itself because we had gotten in contact with him 10 minutes before the session started and they were willing to host. The biggest miracle of all was our friend Asia! She was planning on watching Saturday morning with some members but her daughter kept her up all night so she slept in and she had to go to Oregon on Sunday to catch a court trial so she wasn't able to watch it .... or so she thought. Come Sunday she wasn't able to get her train ticket so she watched conference and the court called and dropped her charge. It was really awesome weekend!

On Sunday of General Conference in the evening our friend Nathan got baptized and it was a really spiritual experience!! He has been studying from the Book of Mormon for a while now and really enjoys it, he was excited to be baptized and the ward came and supported him.

Now that it's getting warmer there are more people outside and the shenanigans in the trailer park are becoming a lot more prevalent. We have seen some of the craziest things and it's been awesome. I am not looking forward to the day where I get transferred to an area with normal neighborhoods because I will feel out of place.

My companion had a birthday so we celebrated that yesterday. It was awesome he got some cool gifts and a cake from the ward. He is getting transferred to Coeur d'Alene so I will get a new companion tomorrow.

One of the absolutely best parts of my week was seeing my friend Michael! There was a gentleman I had found in Spokane who got baptized and was a miracle who I had to say goodbye to when I came to Airway heights. The Elders I live with received a service opportunity and we went with and he was there and I got to catch up with him :))
